Carrie-Lynn Hotson

B.A (HONS) CHRL

Carrie-Lynn holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Carleton University in Psychology/Law with a specialization in Criminology. She has a postgraduate certificate in Regulatory Law Administration, is a Certified Human Resources Leader,  a trained ADR Mediator, Facilitator,  Speaker, and Predictive Index Ambassador. She began a policing career in 1997, moving to the rank of Sergeant in 2009, and then transitioned to the civilian role of Manager of Human Resources and Professional Development in 2015. Upon her retirement in 2022, she completed her book Knowing Who You Lead and initiated her HR coaching and consulting business Inspiring Organizational Growth.

As an experienced facilitator, coach,  senior leader, and mediator Carrie-Lynn

uses her skills,experience, leadership and knowledge in Human Resources and Professional Development , to support leaders, and teams, to increase employee engagement, retention, and increase business success.  Carrie-Lynn helps leaders better address issues of conflict, team building, leadership development, allyship, trusting building, and miscommunication. Her goal is to inspire organizational growth and promote inclusive workspaces.

Carrie-Lynn is also the owner of a Job Interview Coaching business, and works to assist interview candidates to better develop an understanding of the interview process and how to succeed. This work has enabled her to learn about the job market from the employees perspective, and better understand their needs. 

Additionally, Carrie-Lynn serves as a partial load professor at Cambrian College in Sudbury, ON.  This position allows her to engage with  "new leaders and employees" learning about more about their diverse interests, skills, and the experience they can bring to organizations. 

She lives on a 142 acres farm with her daughter and husband. She has 3 grown sons, 3 grandchildren, and a wonderful daughter in law. She is an active community volunteer and enjoys photography.
